Jennifer Dans-Willey founded danswilley in 2009 after her relocation to Indianapolis from Sioux Falls, S.D., in order to be able to contract as the Editor-in-Chief for her previous organization’s SIGNews. Since then, danswilley has grown into a small business on the side.
JD, as she prefers to be called, is a self-taught, on-the-go owner. She has taught herself of trends and kept up with the demands of media and marketing. With a strong focus in non-profits and small businesses, JD has always been determined on making sure these “small-budgeted” organizations and businesses has the same access to the benefits that any other organizations or business that has deep pockets. An alumna of Rochester Institute of Technology with a Social Work degree, JD has always sought for the “end-result” satisfaction that comes from servicing people. It took a while for JD to realize that she could get that satisfaction while working in the world of media. Still living in Indy, JD decided to make this side business a full time focus recently in the spring, leaving her full-time employment at a group home.
With nearly ten years of experience in media management, JD has successfully worked on a good number of projects that resulted in great “end-result” satisfaction. JD is happily married to her college sweetheart, Leo, for more than thirteen years and is a proud mother of two crazy but evilly adorable boys, Spencer and Ty.
